I have a customer with a 26 ZX (whipple charged 502). I have run the boat 83 mph, with very little chine walk. It does have full hydraulic steering, and was a hand full before installing the hyd.steering kit.
That hull also has a lot of hook in the last two to three feet. We removed most of the hook. This really freed up the hull, and made it a little more responsive to trim. Unfortunately, the whippled 502, blew up before we did the bottom mods.So it is difficult to tell exactly what kind of speed increase we had, because we are now running the stock 454 Mag.

Well eventually got big tabs on and full hydraulic steering plus straight thru exhausts (she was blowing back due to resrictions from silencers). Ran yesterday with 3 guys and 60 gallons fuel, showing 7psi @ 87mph (gps) 5300rpm. Rekon with nosecone and a bit of prop tuning might see 90?! Regards Trevor
