The big difference between a 36 Gladiator and a Donzi ZRC.
The Donzi has a wider beam "More Stable" 2ft longer better in rough water, race proven over and over again, The throtlles on the gladiator are aweful you have to reach behind the seat to throttle feels awkward, when you run over 80 the gladiator does have a little chine walk, Donzi does not and i have driven both. I have felt very comftorble running a ZRC in a Poker Run with 3-5s under me at over 100mph and she is solid at 115. Unlike a lot of boats the ZRC has the best layup not stiff like a carbon fiber set up and dosen't kill your back the closest V hull you can get to a Cat without the Insurance expense. Just a Great Boat. The Gladiator is a nice looking boat but paint can make any boat look great.

I think it is all preference. You cannot lose with either ride.

northernoffshore, here's Jo's response regarding the similarity b/w the Pantera 36' and Apache 36'.
That is because it was designed by Mr. Jim Muir the man that has designed probably most of Cigarrettes, and all the "new" Cigarrettes, all the Apaches and all of my work for close to 30 yrs.

I have never been in a Gladiator however there seems to be many accidents and from what I hear they are not a forgiving boat for the inexperienced.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of driving a 38 Competition in a poker run with Craig Barrie on the throttles and that boat is incredable.
From style, comfort, fit & finish to speed and handling I would find it hard to believe the Gladiator is a bettter boat.
With 700's and light fuel the Donzi ran 115.6 on the GPS and it is rock solid and very predictable.
At every card stop the folks on the card boats commented that we had the prettiest boat in the run and there were Nortech's, Outerlimits, Fountains and Skaters.
It is a really nice boat that I would be proud to own.
