I think these boats can run around 82 MPH..that's impressive for what you get in a Donzi!!!
good luck....

I myself am looking for a 35zr... Sounds as a good price, to me.

My only problem is, that the 35 will not fit in a 20" container

Default 38ZR w 525's

Greetings all I am looking to move up from a 26ZX in to a 35 or 38ZR. The one I found is a 38 and has staggered 525. I am a bit leary about the staggered engines. Any input please!!! Also what kind of speeds can I expect from the boat? I have seen something about no high speed turns?? Anyone know what that one is about?

why would you want to make a high speed turn, other than to avoid a collision? Step bottom boats and high speed turns just do not mix well.

OK I understand and I currently have a steped boat. I have never had it blow out but saw a post on the ZR's about no high speed turns. Thanks for your input!

Staggard motors are the way to go. Puts the drives closer togather and makes them more efficient in the water and faster. Moves the COG of the boat closer to middle thus better balance. And gives lots of room to service both sides of both motors.

Downsides......Can eat up some cockpit space compared to a side by side, but why do you care, you are faster and better balanced and you are in a 38' boat. Also can make it a little bit more time consuming to manuver in tight quarters b/c each prop pushes and pulls closer to the centerline of the boat. Really nothing you cannot get around and who cares anyway b/c you are faster and better balanced.....roost too.

The boat turns just fine at speed...you drive it just like normal. The 38 is AWESOME. You would never crank the wheel of any boat at speed except for a jet ski.

Great input, Thanks! I have just watched in poker runs and seen that the staggered boats are more difficult to maneuver. I will use the boat mostly on a lake and the usual tie up's. Do you know what kind of speeds to expect?
