Yeah, we made it home, didn't get to water test, Chesapeake bay was way to nasty the 2 days we were there. We did some mechanically tests on the trailer and all looks great. We did have a bearing go out 30 miles from the house but no big deal, just had to ride slow for the last little bit minus a tire. The previous owner was great, he thru in all kinds of stuff with the boat, I was totally shocked. Shore power cords, 8 red and black pillows, 1 Donzi towell 2 red towels, 2 Donzi hats, hand line, anchor shade, 4 mustang life jackets, and a huge bag big enough to store the full cover in. Here are some pics.

Great looking boat, and you will love the 38zx. I had one for a couple years that I loved, but we sold due to raising babies. Looking to hopefully find a good clean 38 daytona in the coming months. My 01' 38 Daytona ended up on the Chesapeake Bay back in 2007. That boat was a blast. Innovation 600efi's for power. Had more than one trial on the side of the road with trailer issues with that heavy boat though!

Thanks, I took the boat to the scales this pass weekend and surprisingly in came in at 13,600. That was half a tank of fuel and very light gear. We stayed on it Saturday night and had a crap ton of people check it out, not going to lie but it feels good getting all those compliments. Next morning the wind was pushing us up against the docks and made for a hairy departure. Wasn't fun learning the sticks on a 38 footer with nasty wind conditions so we pulled her out, did I mention props were turning in.

If you are pushed against the dock on the SB side; but the SB side drive in reverse and the Port side drive in forward. It ass end should pivot right out. Back out.
IF that doesn't happen (props spinning in), turn the wheel to SB, and put them both in forward, with a spring line still tied to the dock; from the front bow cleat. The ass end will pivot out. Back out.
