Default looking for 28zx info

I'm looking for information and opinions on the 28zx. I'm moving up from a 24 checkmate. There are several twin 350 mag versions on trader '98-'02,. We do weekends on the boat so I'm interested in what kind of room is in the cuddy. I'm also interested in performance with these motors. My research shows about 71mph GPS, 75-77 speedo.

We have a 2004 instock. Very sweet boat. We would also consider taking your boat in trade.

The 28zx is a great boat, it handles the rough stuff very well.

It probably won't be the fastest, or have the most room but it well be able to handle days when most others would be beating up their passengers.

I bot a 2003 28zxo w. 2 x 350s 3 months ago after considerable research. Donzi changes the deck design in 2002 I think and the more recent models are much bettter looking. Its a lot of boat and that's what I wanted as I live in Bermuda which has variable sea conditions. It is certainly not the cheapest boat for your $ but it has a great pedigree which will pay dividends when it comes to resale. I bot the boat new from Aqua-Mania in Alex. Bay NY. Rick Merola was very helpful and has lots of experience including race boat seat time. The layout is extremely functional and unlike most performance boats you really can take 9 people out - which would be impossible in a normal configuration. The mid cabin is a good feature - particularly if you have to get out of a rain shower in a hurry or if you need extra stowage. Having said this it is small but 2 adult males can sit comfortably. I wouldn't want to sleep overnight on a regular basis, however. Performance-wise ....I had read all the reviews too but the best I can get (with a painted bottom) is 66 on the gps. I am very pleased with the purchase.

I had a 2000 28Zx with twin 350's boat ran 72 speedo loved the boat not a lot of room in cabin moved up to a 2002 33ZX with twin 496 MAGS, this boat is know for sale very clean fresh water use only 60 hrs on motors loaded with options "High Roller Graphics" price very nicely, maybe you would be intrested in moving up to a clean 33ZX instead of a 28ZX let me know .
