Re: 38 Zx prices
That sounds about right. Find out what props are on it. He might lose a little speed with the p-5's but the ride and cruise is a lot better. I gained 5 mph at 3500. Also, see if can check to see if there is a hook in the bottom. Mine had one and the factory picked up almost 3 mph. His boat looks like it has straight XR's...a little different than my set up.

Re: 38 Zx prices
Hey Nauti-props,
I just purchased a 04' 38ZX, with a pair of 525's. The boat presently has four blade 28p Bravo-ones. The best I had the boat was 78.3 on GPS at about 5100 RPM. Thinking about Labbed props, any recomendation on pitches, should I send my 28's out for labbing or step up in pitch?
Any one else have ideas.

Re: 38 Zx prices
I have labbed bravo's that have a 29 stamp on them, so I assume they are 29's. Don't buy any props yet....I have a new pair of 28 Maximus props in the mail. I should have speed results next week. By the way I have changed from the sportmasters to regular XR bottoms. The boat seems to get out the hole a little easier. I have seen 79.5 with the labbed 29's. I haven't tried the Hydro P-5. I did have a pair of 26 Maximus blades but I was all over the rev limiter

Re: 38 Zx prices
congrats on the purchase
I guess you finaly got rid of the 33?
Post some pics when you get a chance, I still love the boat. My 382fastech is probably going on the market soon, and I am looking into a 42Cigarette. Also am very curious about the new ZXR's. I hear a 42 could be around the corner. Hope all is well up there. I'll be there over Columbus weekend for the Poker Run with a friend.

Re: 38 Zx prices
Finally tried the Maximus Blades..28 Labbed. Time to plane was 7 sec, a dramatic improvement from the bravos which was 10 sec. The top end suffered though. I was only able to get 76 with 1/2 tank with two people aboard. The cruise at 3500 was 53 mph which is great. The 4 blades are faster but the ride with the maximus is better.

Hey, Kevin
I am still trying to schedule that trip. I just returned from Atlanta for a full weekend of business meetings, so I may miss next weekend and take some time off to enjoy my boat. I will drop you a pm and let you know. Would love to meet up w/ya' and see the new ride.
