Default 26ZX owners?

Any 26ZX owners out there? We are looking at upgrading from our current boat, and the wife and I both like the looks of this model. My question is how does it do in the rough, or REALLY rough (like LOTO), and what approx speeds would it run with an HP500? Finally, what's a good price for a 2001 or 2 with a trailer and a wimpy (aka base 454 or mag) motor...?

Thanks all.!

Hello,
I own a 1999 Donzi 26ZX with a 502 Mag / Procharger M1. It runs close to 80 with the right prop, we do alot of watersports so I run a 24 pitch Bravo 1 most of the time, 70 all day long.It rides better than any other boat in it's class and has more cuddy room than any other!Boat has alot of upgrades plus Gaffrig thru out. It is mostly red with the upgraded victory graphics from Donzi.150 hours. Will be priced in the mid 50k.
If your interested you won't find one any nicer! Call Dave @ 937-239-2604

I had a 26ZX on LOTO for one season and needless to say I no longer have it and have upgraded to a 33ZX. The 26 is a great boat but in really rough water like LOTO it simply is not enough boat for my taste. If you dont want to go up to a 33 at least consider the 28 with twins, it is a much better running boat in my opinion.

I have a 26ZX and run it on Lake Michigan, for the size it is a great rough water boat! I looked at the 28ZX and for the price difference and the cost in running it vs. a 26ZX I did not think it worth it. (Twins vs. Single and only about 18 inches difference in leanth) Kids get your minds out of the gutter!!!!! I would look closly at the pros and cons of each; but I would stay with DONZI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have owned 3 Donzi ZX's, 22, 26 and now a 33ZX.
Never been to Lotto but we boat in the Chesapeake Bay and Ocean.
The 26ZX is a great boat, but has it's limits, as do all boats.
But of course when we owned a 26ZX we thought none better, she is fat and heavy and we thought she served her purpose very well, especially coming out of a 22ZX.

As a woman would say, get all the length and width you can afford.

Brand wise, were faithful.
Our next will be a 38ZX unless the 2nd child chooses military over college!
Once they are both gone, a 38ZR with power, no more frills at that point of my life!

Lastly, I know Mark from ShoreLine who posted above, I would buy a boat from him in a minute, stand up guy! No, I did not buy my 3 Donzi's from him either. But my next may well be.
