Unhappy Looking for OMC King Cobra Repair in Northern California

I was hoping someone has recommendations for a quality yard in Northern California (I'm in Sacramento) that handles OMC King Cobra. It has been a great drive, but unfortunately sucked water into the case over the weekend. Checked the dipstick after pulling the boat out, and water/oil shot out under slight pressure. Ouch.....

It's bolted to a Donzi Black Widow 24 with a 454. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The season just started, and my girlfriend is already planning museum/gallery trips on the weekends. help me.

Good Luck! The Kings are getting harder and harder to find parts for (but not impossible).

good luck. i hope you find a good place cause if its not done right you will be doing it every year. i had a king cobra on my liberator an i used a place in florida(dont remember the name).i would not recomend them. took them three months to rebuild and it blew the next year. made them take it back and rebuild everything they did. it was not a fun time for me and it was my first boat.

Found A Place

Thanks for the replies and wishing me luck. I'm going to need it. Created a pretty good list of hopefuls, then dropped the boat off with someone yesterday. OMC used to have a training facility here which generated some good techs if you can find them. I just hope it does not take a month; After the museum/shopping trips, I suspect my girlfriend is going to move on to musicals...... Ah @#!$%

Here is how I chose the guy. I will let you know how it turns out.
* a referral from a quality source
* A clean functional shop area
* Not a plethora of half finished boats laying around
* You can actually talk to the person doing the work
* There are boats done and set out nicely waiting to be picked up
* Owner present, and the yard has a quality well maintained truck (minium of 3/4 ton and preferably Diesel) and not a Hummer. I do not want to offend Hummer owners out there, but they are just not practical tow or company vehicles. Function before form.

have a great weekend,
Paul
