Bravo 1 Troubleshooting Help
I purchased a boat and really don't know the entire history but would have to say overall that it was not well cared for. The boat and drive are 1996. There are a few things I'm looking for some help with. One is that the drive leaks. I'm not really sure where from but I notice the lube monitor/reservoir lowering each time I use the boat and an oil slick in the water also. The drive doesn't shift smoothly. I was told that the bravo units should shift extremely smoothly and quietly. I had a 1984 with an old MR/Alpha drive that shifted smoother. I was also told there is a shift upgrade kit for my drive. I'm going to disassemble the drive this week and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction of what to look for. I've resealed my old alpha drive before but haven't messed wit this one.
Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
bajahaha

Yes there is an update.. But if you don't have all the proper gaging tools, you might not want to mess with it. You might create more problems. Call me, we are a complete Mercury Service center. 954 237 0332
