Default 3's to 6's?

Do you have to plug and recut the transom to switch from 3's to 6's in a V-hull?

#6 should cover your #3 cut out. I would think just cut and drill new bolt holes and fill old bolt holes if there not cut out. I have had 3s and now have 6s .The gimbal seems much larger.
