Default Driveshaft o-rings

Is there anything special about the 2, black o-rings on a Bravo driveshaft just in front of the first u-joint or can you just take one to any auto parts store and match up the size to find a replacement? Had one fall apart when servicing a drive last night and didn't know if this is a Merc specific part or if any rubber o-ring would work. Thanks.

Anything should work, it just makes sure the bearing turns with the shaft.

Thanks! So, that polished portion of the shaft with the 2 orings should or should not be greased?

put a light film of grease on it so it goes in easy and does'nt stick in the bearing.

Thanks. That is what I have always done but want to make sure it is OK. I just smear some of the grease I put on the driveshaft splines on that area.
