Default Imco gimbal

What is supposed to seal the drive to the gimbal? I have IMCO gimbals and B-max drives I don't see how it is going to keep the water out of the gimbal bearing, it is not like a bravo were the bellows seals on the housing. The bellows is held in with a shouldered sleeve and the drive pushes against it, what keeps the water from going between the sleeve and the front of the drive? All 3 drive had water in the ujoint area so I need to find out what is missing.
