Well the saga continues… I did get my drive back, I think, in December. I have been calling and emailing George for a week at this point. You think answering a question about what oil he filled the drive with would be fairly simple. Jesus I hope I never have to use the warranty on this drive.

I used George for my bravo drive. He rebuilt with the some of the upgrades. This was in '21. The bravo went back for warranty issues with the spiral cut gears whining this past October '22. Finally got it back last week of April. '23. Except, they had someone else's lower unit on it. Mine has a nose cone, and the one bolted on was stock. Had to ship it back. 3 weeks later, got it back a second time with my lower.
Havn't tried the drive yet. But i don't care what it does, it won't go back to them. They clearly don't have their **** together.
Biggest issue is the lack of communication from these guys. Basically, if they are waiting for parts for 6 months, they won't return calls, emails, anything; until they have parts and are ready to talk to you. It's beyond ridiculous. It they were transparent from the get go, tore the drive down, found out the parts needed, and a lead time/delivery; and communicated the downtime, it would be a non issue. But that is not how they conduct business; and i will not deal with a shop like this. Was even told they have been sued 12 times and only lost 2; like they were proud of that.
I don't hate them; I think they are nice people. But in way over their head; and run their business poorly. George was involved in an accident last year; that certainly didn't help them.
I would use someone else in the future, no question. Sorry George.

Saga continues
Well, saga continues for me with AADS. Got through the initial break in period and opened up the throttle. I’m running 500 rpm’s higher and bumping rev limiter running less mph than last year. 77.5mph, 5,500rpm, about 12% slip, 27 bravo one prop. Makes it a 1.65 drive ratio per my math. Supposed to be a 1.5 drive ratio. So did he put the wrong uppers in? Last year I was running 5,000 78mph.

let us know if he makes good for you if you try and get the ratio fixed.
