SEI complete Bravo drives

I did ask that question and I was told that any kind of modifications will void the warranty so that is my dilemma now because I do have imco hydraulic steering and I don't want to void the warranty so I need to see what my options are for different cylinder/tie bar mounts

This is the mounts I have now, do they offer them with 3 bolt pattern?

looks like Latham offers a 3 bolt cap, wonder what the difference would be between this and leaving the 2 bolts out of the imco cap?
maybe a call to imco wouldn't hurt

I assume just force transferred to the cap. But realistically, you're pushing against water, and not directly. If my factory tiller arm could move the drives left/right just fine (Although with lots of slop, hence why I went with new imco setup), then I'd just use the 3 bolts if you are concerned about warranty, and put the factory cap back on before you ship it back. I think a few companies Mayfair? have setups that do not 'modify' the drive. But the cost / changing your setup might be more expensive than buying a new SEI drive at that point anyway. and think of the spare parts!

Interesting also when Latham got away from that cap style mount you pictured.
Everything they have currently for Bravos goes over the rear cap instead of replacing it.

I run a Mayfair bracket from CP/Hardin. Fits both styles of bravo case, no mods.

Fwiw I used a set of their bravo 1.50 ratio gears behind 500 hp, around 40 to 45 hrs the gears were disentegrated and pieces went thru rest of drive of course, was just a exp[experiment, if you had a 1992 twin worth 12000$ with 310 hp or whatever tired bbc's, Id run them and keep track of warranty card, if you have 500 hp, I wouldnt bother.
