Bravo 1 connected to Stellings Box. I ran the boat at home before I head out to the ramp tomorrow for the first time in a very very long time. Figures!!!!!
So I'm getting this vibration. Nothing at an idle. It kicks in around 1800 rpm and up is more obvious when you throttle down quickly. It's still present but not as noticable when in gear.
My initial thought was the u-joint.

mine would vibrate like the drives were tilted up, when revved up in neutral.
Come to find out, the drive shaft u joints were out of phase, fixed that,
vibration went away,
Might check the studs and the bolts holding the transom assy to the box,
had one side come loose( suspect the out of phase u joints may have had
something to do with those coming loose)
it leaked a little water when that happened too.
Each u joint has a grease fitting, the slip joint does too and the pillow block bearing also does.
these all can be lubed through the side access’s of the box, it’s not that fun to do, so they often get neglected

I am pretty sure I got all the grease fittings. I will go through all that before I pull the drive.
The drive is neutral mounted so please explain u-joints out of phase.

So it’s in the top hole,
lowest setting?…. that is neutral.
If that’s the case, it won’t matter.
Proper phasing means that the u joint yokes are in the same plane from one end to the other.

Actually I never checked. I took what he said at face value. I suspect it is because it appears to be straight out from the coupler.
I will take a look at everything you mentioned.

I also can see the driveshaft u joints are not phased on either motor. Both appear to be roughly 90 degrees off. The other motor feels fine so I am guessing one of the joints is on its way south causing the vibration.
Never having these things apart I have a question. Is the slip joint splined? I know the motors were out of the boat so I am wondering if they threw it together and off they went without phasing the driveshaft.

Yes the slip joint is splined, there’s a cap that threads on, loosen that and it will separate and you can line the yokes up
