Default AI#7M-B Drive unit.

I found this posted from Rik on FB. "AI#7M-B Drive unit. These accept a “Mercury Bravo” style propeller." This was from 2022. I'm curious if anyone can confirm using this setup? I'm in the early stages of the Arneson swap but I have a huge selection of Bravo one propellers...

I never ran bravo props on my Arneson asd7 kits , but when i asked Rik about the possibility of running them he said different prop shafts and thrust tubes were needed . I have a 34" prop center line and any props I tried that were less than 17" dia were very difficult to get on plane and all my bravo props were around 15.25 dia so for me they won't work.

Yeah I called Rik to discuss some 7s for a bravo conversion boat were working on and he explained that in most instances you want the bigger prop built for the surface piercing. I do have one set of 16" Herring 28 5 blade that are Bravo one hub but even these probably wouldn't take full advantage of the "surface".
