Default Smartcraft Trim tabs

Hi!

I have 380's with digital senders, does anyone know how to connect them to my smartcraft and Vesselview 7?

Thanks
//Jimmy

The trim tabs require a mercury interface module to tie them into the smartcraft. It will go into the connecting block. Once you have them connected you will have to set up the vessel view for 4 engines. It is a pain in the butt. I do not exactly remember how to do it but I would recommend calling mercury to walk you through the setup. The settings were the worst part.

I do not know the part number but on the set that we bought the module came with them. I deal with Guy at TNT in Miami, FL. You can call him and I am sure they can order it for you.

Hello
i open this older post as i found not the infos i look after some searching!

Looks not much guys have the tabs in the smartcraft system!
I like to make it working!
My Ecomonitor from merc can show the trimtabposition. My engine 600 sci have aalso an connector for trimtabs and i found an Y harness that look exact right to connect 2 trimsenders with the engine! 84-895820T02
Can it be that this is only what i need so see Tabs in the Monitor?
The digital drivesender work in same way.only connect to engine and it work.
There is an trimtabinterface, but i think this is maybe for engines without input for tab or so??8M8024589

i hope anyone with Race engine has done the work with the tabs and can tell me the right way!!
thanks
Michael

Have the 380's as well with digital senders, also digital on my drives, they both plug directly into the 525's engine harness. And yes you have to have the vessel view set up for 4 engines. To get the tabs to show up...

Assuming you already have digital senders (3-wires) on your K-planes then all you need is the interface cable (84-895820T02) . The cable has a Y with bullet connectors that lead to each sender and a Deutsch connector that needs to be connected to one of the engines, it doesn't matter which one. You will find the connector on the starboard side of the engine at the back near the PCM. Make note that the connector has a protective cap so look closely because it won't fit unless you remove the cap.

You can find the instructions in the VesselView manual, but it's not very hard to get them to show up.
