props for a 26 daytona?????
What size props r you guys running on your 26 daytona cats. i currently have a 28 bravo 4 blade and the power is a 525 efi. i can't seem to get a good speed. i resently put a imco 2 inch short on it. the prop shaft in about a 1/4 inch above the bottom sponsons. its a bear to get on plane and tops out at 82 mph on the limiter at 3/4 throttle with the trim at 3. hopefully somone one here has some insight on what i should do. thanks for any help!

When I had a 26 my X was about the same as what you have.
When you say it is a bear to get on plane are you having a lot of prop slip getting on plane or it is just slow? Were you using this prop before the shorty? What speed and rpm were you getting then?
I was running a hydromotive 5px prop that seemed to work all around. When I and a friend who also had a 26' gained about 10 mph going with a shorty on this boat.
One thing we figured out is the prop that works on one boat would not work on the next.
I would see if you can borrow a 5 blade in the 28 pitch range. This may not be the perfect prop but it MAY get you closer to being the correct one
