Default 380 Eagle XP owners where are you?

Hey all,
I just recently acquired a 2004 38 eagle and can't wait to get it finished and on the water! Wondering if any other 380 eagle owners out there could chime in on their top speeds with what horsepower motors? I am building a set of carbed HP500s to hopefully 600-625hp and am hoping to hit 90 at havasu. Any thoughts? I have some fiberglass and gelcoat work to do, as well as get the motors built, and with any luck will have a sea trial or two before the summer is over.......for sure will be at Desert Storm in April though!!
Thanks for any insight.

Post up some pictures of your new to you Eliminator. If the economy keeps improving I would like to step up to a 30'+ Eagle in a couple of years.

Thanks Johnny, but I just bought a couple of 575sci from tsunamiracing that I think will fit my needs nicely and maintain some resale on the boat as they were an option for this year and model.
Ill get some pics up soon!

Did you buy the one from reno with all the teague stuff on it? Nice looking boat, would love to know how fast it really goes.

It is the one from Reno and it runs great. It was cared for with an open check book and Teague did a great job with it. It's not as fast as I thought it would be as set up. At 6200 rpm it tops out at 105 here in the delta. Probably a little faster in salt water. While making friends with this thing 90 mph is rock solid while pushing for the 100mph mark it gets aired out easily and feels very light. I'm running 30" pitch props and could probably increase the pitch, but for now I'm happy as is.

Now that Summer is gone its time to tinker. I have stock drive height and 5 blade 30' pitch Maximus props. I have a couple characteristics I'm hoping to eliminate. At 90 it seems to hop and 95 it wants to chime. I can push through and it goes away after 100. Any suggestions?

I'm wondering about shorter lowers or a different prop. Plenty of Torque and it comes out of the hole very easily.

I appreciate your feedback.

Prop slip comes out to 11% that's pretty phenomenal! If you can turn 32s to that rpm you will be at 110 with 12% slip, and if you can spin 34s to that rpm you will be at 117 with 12% slip. Hope that helps.
