33 Daytona Build - The Red Rocket !!
One of our fellow OSO members is building a new 33' Daytona. Let's follow the build as it progresses...
First off, prep the molds:
They are cleaned and then Mold Wax is applied...slippery stuff.
Temps have been quite cold for a few days, sold the molds are wrapped, patiently waiting to head to the spray booth.

Molds have been in the spray booth Thu & Fri:
Hull goes first, with the bottom getting an extra thick coating of R-14:
Clear goes first, following by House of Kolor II Icy Red:
Then comes the R-14 full coat:

In the final stages now:
Red is checked for cover:
The final coat is ALWAYS black: Helps w/air bubbles in lamination, and is that "tell-tell" when things possibly happen in the future.
Of course, we never damage our hulls, right?
That's it, piece of cake...
Deck Mold is next on Monday, if not tomorrow/Saturday...
