Default 25 Daytona Max 5 Prop

We have a 08 25 Daytona 600sci stage 4 whipple. Closed bow XR upper imco-1 lower. Boat bottom and gear case have been done by Wilson. Runs 114-116 all the time with merc labbed 32 bravo 1 1.35 gears 600’ elevation. At top speed the back of the boat wiggles a very little bit sometimes in choppy water. Top rpm is 5800. Mid range slip is terrible. 38 mph about 2800rpm. Also have a merc labbed 34 B1 runs about 1 mph faster but is a bear to get on plane. Thinking maybe a 15.25” Max 5 would help me overall. Somewhere around a 31 or 31.5 pitch. I would be more comfortable if top rpm came down around 5600-5700. 99% of my driving is 35-60 mph. I need a fair amount of trim to get the top speed with the merc labbed props. I’m afraid if I cut the diffusers down on the B1s I will not be able to get on plane. Will the Max 5 give me more bow lift requiring less positive trim? Thanks

Right, curious minds want to know. That's a righteous 600sci stage 4.

A 25 daytona to run 114-116 needs 900hp minimum. Mine runs 110mph in good air with 860hp/800ft lbs using a 30p turning 6300 rpm SCX upper/ SC -2 lower 1.5 gears in the lower.

Edit, so the stage 4 kit bumps the power 290hp and 225 ft/lbs So very close to 900 hp. Seems to make sense. The Max 5 prop will give you a bit better mid range and top end, but it will run you about $2000 to find out if it works for you. My 5 blade is nice mid range, 50 mph at 3200 rpm. But it drops off about 5-8 mph top end. The Max 5 has no diffuser which will give you more bow lift.
