Re: Hawk 40 Cheap!!!!
Give me your email and Ill send some pics.
Swim platform has been removed and the platform (teak) needs repair. The hull is in good shape, has some dock rash here and there, but its original and never been reapinted, touched up, etc. I would say it needs a good wet sand/ buff, but it still shines up nice. There are some stress cracks on the deck around the corners of the windshield, which is common for this size/age boat. Interior in cabin is all original, not tore up, but looks dated compared to the new boats. Cockpit upholstery is in good shape, the sunpad however has some tears(original).
Engines run very good, trannies and drives too. Boat is mechanically sound.
Trailer needs tires to make a long trip. They are the original tires from 1983. Good Tread but I wouldnt trust them!
Overall, the boat just needs someone to give it some care. If I keep it, I would pull engines clean and repaint bilge, tidy up some wiring in there, and maybe update the cabin upholstery to look newer with some white/blue vinyl. Maybe get the sunpad redone, and the stress cracks fixed. All in all, if someone buys it for 23k, and puts 5g in cosmetics in it, you will have a real nice offshore boat for cheap. Its a wave crusher, and it will do 60 mph with the 425HP motors in there.
