Thanks.
Steering issue resolved. Time to button up the bilge and transom and move to the cockpit. I hope to have the dash back from upholstery late this week so that I can get moving on wiring, get the windshield back on and start getting pieces off the floor.

We owned an identical boat in 1980. Purchased it new directly from Reggie. Boat had Mercruiser 365 (454cid) on a TRS with a three blade cleaver. Ran 65mph which was blazing in a single engine 27' boat back then. It ran so good in the rough too. Can't wait to see how she runs when you're done! Cool boat, cool thread!

I have gotten behind on the updates. Ran 73 right off the trailer turning a 28 B1 left. Throws a little roost with neutral trim. My tach is jumping around, so I'm not sure on rpm. Having oil temp issues with Thermostat adapter so I have only made a couple passes. The setup is going to be nice but fack its loud!

Couple more pictures. Hope to be in the upholstery shop before end of week. Will have some powder coating done too, no more green throttles. I have pulled parts for this build from every used source that I know and am paying for it a bit. Lots of little issues that don't come with new parts, but otherwise, I am close to being able to put some time on it. It desperately needs a polish if the old gel will take it.

Im up to 75 without any real work. I've been chasing oil temperature woes but have run it up a couple times. 75 and have to turn on the little lake I'm using to test. Video below of easy pass. The left hand drive and roost has me concerned at how long the drive will live. It runs nice and flat.
