It's an Extreme !!! You can't break it !!!!! Seriously, that fairing is rock solid and is incorperated into the deck mold. You can stand on it, jump on it whatever, you wont hurt it. Thanks for the comps !!!! It's a 7' beam.Dave

Great first race, just edged out for first place, a great result for its first race. Congrats on building a very competitive boat Dave, what other races is it slated to run in? Does it have a second set of sticks or does the driver also run the throttles?

Re: 29 Shotgun F1-7
Hey Jeff, The F1 has the race interior and we are VERY happy with the race considering we put the boat together in less than 4 weeks and had about 5 hours total of test time. All of this we finished 1/10 of a second slower than the top F1 boat of the year !!! We didn't come alive until the last lap. We will make Deerfield and Key West for sure. Then the whole 2006 season. Thanks, Dave

Re: 29 Shotgun F1-7
Dave - Well, I'm finally starting to figure things out. There are two 29 Extremes, one with the pleasure cockpit and one with the race cockpit. I'm getting slow in my old age.
That race cockpit is awesome! I like the heads-up drive/tab indicators and the trim controls and throttle look well placed and easy to work. Are the seats/bolsters the same design in both the pleasure and race versions?
I'm pretty much sold on the 29 Extreme being my next boat upgrade, although it may take a while for my "new boat" piggy bank to get filled to the purchasing level. Of course, I'll need a test ride/drive before I make up my mind for sure.
Any idea as to where I can find some pics of the F1-7 boat in action at the Panama race?

We are looking foward to Deerfield and getting some seat time in the boat. We will be ready for Derfield and hopefully bring home the checkered flag this time.
