yep

after i tuned up the leading edge of the riser i cut the remaining inside portion out than sanded it all smooth with 40 grit. after that it is covered in two layers of 1808 bi-ax on all sides. all edges must be radiused to about 3/8th of an inch to allow the laminations to make the bend. i use west systems for just about everything and i mix catylist by weight, 22% for epoxy.

after its completly cured ity can be sanded down with 40 grit to rough in the desired shape. than it is faired out with westsystems low density filler. this takes care of any air voids and allows you to sharpen up the edges.

once i have its shape about 90% where i want it, it is bonded to the deck with . . .you guessed it . . .MORE WEST SYSTEMS! . the final bit of shaping will be done when the rear extensions are bonded.

I saw on the list of projects " filling snap holes" ... I assume that ...or was for the cockpit cover ? If so ..do you rely on a full cover ? .. I hate all those snaps on my 311 .....
