even worse, buy a guy with a gold chain and a black satin jogging suit...

bullet technique is turning up the fluid as far as it can go and shooting from a few feet away. sometimes helps
if you narrow the patern as well. you can shoot fro a few feet awy like this.

How many coats of clear do you usually spray on a boat? Also, what grit of sandpaper do you use to sand after the clear coat? Wet sand or dry sand the clear coat?

Remember boys and girls, using the bullet technique with a spray gun is ONLY for the DECK, do not try it on the sides. you will have icicles hanging from the chine of your boat. lol we use this method only to reach across a wide area like a Cat deck. you adjust the gun to spray in a round pattern instead of a fan pattern, this will blast the clear out about 3-4 ft from the gun. it goes on very heavy, but for the deck thats ok because it wont run. just be careful around the wind screen or hatches.( recommended for trained professionals only.)
