What part of the arneson are you refinishing?

I only ask because I had to repair some corrosion on one of my arnesons. I had some corrosion where the gear case mounts to the transom. I ended up grinding the corrosion down to healthy metal and building it back up by tig welding it. It worked extremely well.

Most of the corrosion on mine is around the edges of the fin. I'm planning on primering and then filling the corrosion pits with JB-Weld. I have a always heard that JB-Weld is tough as nails. Does anybody have any better alternatives to use as a filler material?
