i've normally removed all screws and rivets then replaced them w/ss
bolts with aluminum backing strips ( yeah, 80' of backing strips) with nyloc nuts; good luck - jeff

IMO I would go all stainless. If you do stainless and alluminum you will get galvanic corosion.
