Re: Floorboard... plywood or ?
Come on Dave you don't want to look like a big huge candie cane!!!! WTF!!! LOL
Jackhammer the difference in material should not matter. Just build it up more were it is thick and less were it is thin. Not sure I would want to fill up a 1/4" of bondo or even cabosile as it is likely to crack.....

What's "coosa" ? where do you get it ,what sizes, what's it cost?? and why use it instead of marine ply? What would "GLASSDAVE" use to re-build a transom ?? What brand of epoxy would you use to smooth out and maybe widen slightly ,strakes on an '81 wellcraft hull ?? CHEERS AW

Obads: I see you are in Nantucket, MA. Is that were the boat is? If so you can get Coosa at Bolter Plywood in Sumerville. It comes in a slightly oversized 4X8 Sheet in different sizes.

My hatch would be approx 68" across. Could coose support the weight of a person? Do you put glass over it?

I called Coosa today. They seem like nice people. The lady said that the VP would call me back to answer my ??s. I was thinking, YEAH RIGHT. Sure enough, he called me back.
There's a distributer not too far from where I live. I called them and they said they have it in stock too.

if you look at the pics its acually a "sandwhich" of foam ... and the 1.5 has some layers ... I dont see any reason at all not to use it ... the 1.5" was about 300.00 a sheet ... I replaced my stringers and bulkhead in the engine room ... the bulkhead was 3/4" plywood and now is 1.5 Coosa ..its solid .......
