i have black MBC Omni basecoat put in aerosol cans.

Hey! we are off on a tangent. I thought I killed the guide coat thing The post was about the ease in doing a gel repair if you haven't tried it at home before. You guys convinced him that you don't, but you can, then you can appreciate the talent we have and get off the "duckies" to make it right!

It usually costs more to fix the home done botch jobs then to fix the origional damage. Either way it's fine by me

3m makes a guide coat that goes on dry, it comes in a container with a pad you can sand it 1 second after you wipe the area with it.

amen ta that. back when i use to do cars i looked at a late 60's Fairlane that the owner wanted painted. my quote for a complete was $6500.00, he left and i didnt see him for a while (we had a mutual friend) . ran into him at a cruise night the following summer with the car and his first words to me were "DONT SAT IT!! . . .just schedule me in" he found someone to do it for less that winter. only cost him 10K to have me correct it
