How to Keep Boat Clean Daily?
I just had my boat professionaly cleaned and waxed, from bottom to top. Now, I would like to keep it that way cause I can't pay those prices too often. What do you recommend that I use to clean the fiberglass after a day of boating? Also, the transom gets a little sooty - what works well on a daily basis that isn't too hard on the wax? Thanks.

i use a product called Gel Gloss to keep fiberglass clean. its alot like that Quick Detail from McGuiers but its just for gel coat. works great and best of all you can get it at Lowes for like four bucks a can.

Mine gets washed every time when it gets back on the lift to keep it the cleanest the longest. The transom still gets the soot build up, but the daily washing with boat soap seems to be the best for me. A good boat soap won't take the wax off. By the final fall cleaning, it's still clean looking, until I get serious and then the exhaust build up is noticable.
I use Simple Green and a very soft brush to scub the transom. Tried a bunch of other cleaners, but none worked as well as the SG, without breaking out the polishing compound. That stuff works the best, but is more work. Then follow with a coat of wax.

Believe it or not, Boeshield T-9 silicon protectant does a great job cleaning the soot off my white transom. Makes it look like new.
Don't know if it removes wax, though.

Thanks forf the replies. I'll make sure to use the boat soap. Where can I find the Boeshield T-9 silicon protectant? I am looking for something to keep that transom clean on daily basis.
