i had to strip/sand off all the paint an get back to square one. i was able to salvage maybe half of the actual graphic, this was done so i could actually see what it looked like previously and serve as kind of a template for the re-spray of the graphics. large fades like these cant be spotted in but have to be completly re-done in sections. it is really something that has to be done with a very keen eye towards what was originally on it and not what we think it should be . . . ya gotta get inside Dave Hunters head

several repairs, these were deep damage that needed to be primed. there were many other smaller ones that i use a clear repair primerd that aids in the graphics repair process later on

heres a few pics of the painting process. if you look close you can see some pen marks on the tape, some arrows and lines, they are there for referance to the original graphic. you also have to tint the colors on the fly to get them right. mostly trial an error as you go, it has been duplicated about as faithfully as possible.

oh the story gets better, the original guy was only supposed to touch up a couple spots and re clear the sides... he wasnt supposed to touch the deck, he said he was going to do the swim platform, I told him no, he did it anyhow. he was trying to make a name for himself at my expense, well he made a name alright it was ASSCLOWN

LOL . . how the heck did i mis this one . . . . yep i'm on the downhill run this week. she's all painted with just some deck stuff to do now. we have been crank'in on it pretty good and have the worst behind us now. The other "assclown" really did a number on this boat, guy was just clueless. he tryed to add his own flair to a graphic that needed no improvment. there was no less than 3 attempts by this numb nuts to reproduce this thing and each one worst and larger than the last. paint was so thick i actually found fineline tape undernieth some of the graphics.
heres a few pics of it before i started (sorry Rob . . .didnt mean to bring up bad memories )
