Bottom paint/Hull polish 38 Scarab
Hello,
My name is Dan, new to the site. I have a 1989 38' Scarab center console twin 250 Yamaha, It looks like I have at least two coats of old bottom paint on this boat. Should I attempt to strip it and start new or just paint again for this season I am in Conneticut. Also the hull needs some brightening should I use a buffing wheel and compound? If so what works best. Thanks
Dan

compound if not enough wet sand. As for the painted bottom I'd leave it like that and add another one. Faster and cheaper. You can always bring it back to original but takes time and money! I did that in the past!
