I am starting to get blisters in my paint. I started getting a couple earlier this summer, so I started pulling the boat out here and there. The lake is too low now, and has been for about a month, to pull the boat. We have not had any rain for several months. We should get some this week and hopefully it will raise it enough for me to get the boat out.
How hard is it to strip (what is the process) and paint a boat. I would not do it, but wanted to know what to expect. I think it is red gell under the paint, and from what Ican tell, it looks pretty oxidated. Can this be cleaned up, or should I just get a whole new paint job. Should I paint it white and then put vinyl on the boat? Any recs/feedback regarding the process, basic costs, etc., would be greatly appreciated.

Get ready to spend some $$$$, Here is my 24, did it myself, was a pain in the azz, and wasnt cheep. 1st pic is in Primer, and 2nd is done and in the water,3rd is before. Still needs some vinyl graphics(pantera logo is painted). 4 coats of urethane base, 2 coats f purple, and 3 coats of urethane clear.
