Default Filling in a hole?

I used to have two water picup's on the bottom of my hull. The rocket scientist put them just in front of the drives. I think it must have been JC The things were splitting the water and causing HUGE slip numbers. I am going to remove them and put transom mounts on it. What I need to know is the best way to fill them in. These are about 8-10 inches from the center of the V. They are about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The glass is about 3/4 of an inch thick no core.

What material, what resin, how much do I taper in, taper on the inside and out???????

Thanks
Jon

I've got a similar problem in the hull of my Stinger. The transducer for the depth sounder was installed thru the hull near the front of the bilge. That's bad all by itself. To make matters worse, when I originally got the boat the transducer was mounted at 90 degrees to the bottom-which made the trim ring hang down about 1-3/4 inches on the "high" side of the hull and barely touch on the low side! Talk about drag! I filed the hole enough to get the thing to mount flush to the bottom for a temp fix but am planning on filling the hole and moving the transducer to the transom while everything is out for the transom rebuild.
