Great job wally and dave did an excellent job on the Spectra. I would have never started this little project without the help from you guy's at OSO. Thanks for all the help my hats off to ya. More pic later. The pod came out, well better than expected. Acetone ate the foam out really well Thanks Audiofn. The front of the pod will be covered by the gauge panel. The gauges will attach to the panel. The panel attached to the pod and the pod attached with L-brackes to the console from the under side of the pod so the screws will not show on top.

Glassdave,

the fleece holds up extremly good but you would still add some glass to the back side for strength. The fleece just gives you the base shape to build from.

The pressure wave and vibrations from 15-18" subs every couple seconds give speaker boxes a good beating.

good point, yea some of those systems kick pretty hard. i had always thought the fleece was used to aid in surface shaping and could be layed over some technical cloths for a stronger layup. i will try it this week, only problem is i cant figure out which sweatshirt i want to sacrifice

? I decided to go with aluminum gauge panels, would you paint, polish and clearcoat, or put vinyl not like fabric but like decal over the aluminum?

Velocity,
Careful with the polish, depending on the angle in the sun it can get annoying.

Good point, I agree, They make a carbon fiber vinyl, the original panels had that stuff on it. may go back with something like that.
