I tried to PM you but apparently I have to be a platinum member for that?
I've been doing some research on painting and it seems alot of your knowledge is spread out amongst alot of threads. If you could be so kind to put what brand and part number products you use in one post, it would benefit us DIY'ers greatly.
I am in a small town and have some experience painting cars, but theres not much knowledge in paint shops/suppliers around here about what products to actually use. Most of the posts on the internet are just people saying ''I use (insert: PPG, AWLGRIP, INTERLUX, IMRON, Screw paint use gelcoat, or "other" here) and a good epoxy filler" but noone really specifies what line of paints / fillers and the numbers for them.
It seems PPG will be the most readily available option, and you use that, so if you could share the knowledge in one post, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!

ChallenSup- I try an keep the whole process as simple as possible and i use PPG products pretty much for everything and most have a letter designation
For basecoats - DBC (dbc91050 is a very nice clean white)
Single stage colors- DCC
clearcoats- DCU-2021
hardner for the DCC and DCU- DFX7
reducer- whatever temp DT is appopriate
sealers - DP48 (its white) with 401 catylist
primer if necessary- K36
I get my epoxy from uscomposites.com and i use the 636 thin with the 3:1 medium hardner and my polyester of choice is a nice Ashland GP resin i get in bulk (the # slips me right now) the mainstay of fiberglass in my shop is 1708 Nytex or any quality 1808 bi.ax.
if i need any filler type additives in the poly or epoxy i really like WestSystems 404 for bonding and 407 for fairing.
for light fairing on poly 3M's Premium marine filler. Great stuff and it sands well
