I'm thinking about ordering the trio to use on my 96 Baja with light oxidation (compared to the red Checkmate in the OP) I'll be applying the products with a Porter Cable 7424 and wool pads.
My question is, will this still work ok with the Porter Cable or am I wasting my time by using it with the Vibra Cut? My other question for Glass Dave is after applying the Vibra Cut do you buff off with a microfiber towel or skip that step and just wash with soapy water?
Thanks for the help in advance.

the 7424 is an orbital and better for waxes and glazes maybe fine polishes. I dont think you would see the benefits of either of these without a good quality buffer. Gel really likes a certain amount of heat and friction to get the oxidation off and pull the shine out. It would take forever with an orbital also Totally Buff is a diminishing compound and needs to me worked down.
on heavily oxidized gel i hit it hard with Vibra then go straight to soap/water wash. Next day after a thorough dry i hit it with Totally Buff and bring out the final shine. Pending how big a mess i made or not i have been able to skip washing and just towel it off then go to wax.

Update, found a friend with a rotary he's going to let me borrow. It uses 8" pads, where is the best place to order some wool pads? Also, what type of pads should one use to apply the Vitreo, and should I use my Porter Cable for that?
Thanks again

you should be able to get wool pads at any autobody supply place, NAPA may have them to. Ask your friend if he has a cleaning spur, you will need to spur the pad to clear out the Vibra but the Totally is pretty much self clearing. You will also need one pad for each product, i prefer to not cross products on the pad. The Vitreo you can put on with the PC orbital and for that you can use foam.
