I don't think Dave would recommend sea cast, but we'll wait and see.

Not a big fan of seacast, I'm sure it has it's place but to me it's just a temporary fix. Just seems like a lot of work to "properly" dig out the wood and prep it. Anything but an outboard boat would be a pain to access the top of the transom, dig out the wood and prep to pour. I'm sure it is fine for some non performance applications and has some temporary fix usage as far as repairing isolated issues. I don't know maybe it's just me but it seems a lot easier to just strip out a transom and pop a new one in as apposed to capping off all the openings and somehow digging out all the wood in-between the skins.

I have no idea how you do glass daily Dave!!!! After tackling my Cig Flatdeck I will never work with fiberglass again lol. Way to much time and labor for my patience, but I do love seeing/reading your advice,,, just in case I bump my head and take on another project boat!!!
