Dave,
Where did you spray the kandy? Was it on the surface before you laid down the cloth?

If so could you just spray some UV clear down before the cloth?

i sprayed it right on the surface that i epoxied the laminate to. I was thinking the same thing with maybe an intercoat clear? If they have inhibitors? didn't seem to affect the bond to much.

will I need more than one layer of fabric?

Here at the shop fixing some scratches in the green monster Baja, and pondering over this idea some more.

I just back up most colors with a layer of that black carbon fiber looking fiberglass its really not good for much else. I suppose you could maybe paint the back as well. Some of the hybrid weaves can be thin and slighty see through.

Most intercoat clears don't have UV inhibators in them but I quess you could just use a catylized clear?

You know after that I wonder what some LED's on the edge of the plexy would look like?

Yea that might work to, none of it really seemed to affect the bond to much. It's a non structural part so it's not really that critical.

Hmmmm . . . . . LED's huh . . . .
