The only reason that I went with gray is because I didn’t like how dirty the white bilge looks in my Mach 1 Its tough to make it look good without pulling the engine and doing a major clean up. I think that I am going to change the color again tonight and go with the white but I will try some testing the sprinkles on scrap wood pieces before I do it in the bilge area. I am also debating whether or not to remove the carpet in the bilge?

Just wondering if you guys that have done rustoleum have had any problems with it not staying down in the bilge where water is? I bought my paint today and could not find the valspar, so I ask them at home depot they dont carry it even though the web site says they do. Anyway they ask what I was doing I told them and they said it will never work. Just wondering if they know what they are talking about?

I painted one of my boats with the Rustoleum about 6 years ago and it is still there now with no flaking or bubbling. I had even had a water leaking problem that took me an entire boating season to figure out so water was on it constantly.

No issues in the bilge or other wet areas even under water.
You can find the Valspar at tractor supply places or where other farm equipment stuff is sold. I just order it online from Amazon. Be at you home in 3 days.

Got mine from amazon also, quick delivery and easy.

Going with safety yellow to match the side paint on my formula, should look a "bit" different!

Ok so after looking at it I have changed the bilge once more to white. I’m glad this stuff is pretty cheap.

Looks good. I'd get rid of the carpet too.

How do you get rid of the glue left behind? I had to remove some where I replaced rotted floor so that I could glass into the solid floor but it took way too long. I was using a very aggressive wire wheel on my angle grinder as well as a sanding disk but both just moved the glue around.
