Stripped out lag bolt holes in glass, need help??
Swim ladder bolts to swim platform, underneath with 3/8th's lag bolts, 2 are stripped out, what would be best way to repair these? I need to repair them and be able to redrill them to remount ladder. Tried marine tex, but being soft and liquid, it was tough to shove in hole, and it just ran out.

I bought some of these to mount my stereo (1/4- 20) but I am sure you can find some that will fill the whole with your correct thread size, either in Stainless or Brass
They are E-Z Lok and can buy them anywhere on line or a hardware store

If you are talking about wood on the transom, then this is what I'd do.....
Grab some wooden dowel a size larger than the whole
Drill out the hole 1/16th smaller than dowel
Taper the end of the dowel and coat it with Gorilla glue
Drive the dowel into the hole until it bottoms out and let it cure
Cut off the excess
Drill out the dowel to the appropriate size
Mount your swim platform and enjoy!

I don't know about gorilla glue. it MAY be a water based glue, I am not sure. otherwise this is the way to go. use epoxy or poly resin instead. also, there are fluted dowel pins to be had at home depot-lowes for furniture repair. look a little like a wood apex tip. they might hammer into hole better.
