Default Gelcoat damage, how should I fix this?

What's the best way to fix this? It's about 3/4" long.

Buy a gelcoat repair kit. A good one. And follow directions. Take your time and you'll never see it

looks like a small air void or bubble that finally let go. You'll have to open it up a bit to get to some good glass, because its on an edge maybe a piece of 80 grit wrapped around a half or three quarter inch dowel and just run it over the edge to leave a semi round transition. Traditionally 36 is best for a bond but because its on a sensitive edge you want to go a bit finer to keep it from fragmenting further. As said above the gel kits from West Marine work good for this kinda thing

Thanks Guys. I guess I should break off those fragmented pieces? What about putting some filler in the void?

I had a couple of these right on the edge of the chine like yours on my boat. A gel paste kit from Spectrum worked perfectly. Been about 6 or more years now and repair is still invisible. Like Dave said, i took some 80 grit and knocked backed the edges a bit before filling.
