experiance is the only thing that will really teach you how to do it, just keep trying different techniques and you'll get it. i usually swirl a bit on the surface or pad and start slow to get the product across the area i'm working but ramp up the speed quickly, varying pressure and speed but i watch and work the surface (guided by years of experiance ) towards the end of each individual application process the buffer is at almost full speed with a fair amount of pressure and heat. One thing to keep in mind is not every surface is going to end up shining like glass. As gel ages and aquires UV damage it can get micro porus that is very difficult to get past.
