Can't get a gloss on gel - Help

I did clear mine this summer though (full paint job) and was finally able to achieve an acceptable a gloss.

Sounds like you have tried and (with a completely understandable margin of safety-do no harm) have not been satisfied. I would probably take it to (or get a visit from a mobile) professional detailer/restorer and contract to have him do one of the worst (and most visible) areas. If it is satisfactory you can then decide to tackle it more aggressively or contract to have it done.
