Re: Who's tweaked a 292?
Prochargers are notorious for poor low end performance in small blocks especially, they need to 'spool-up' before they start to make power, thats why a roots type blower {Whipple} will come on quicker, just my $.02

I heard that the 292 is a better balanced boat compared to the single big block 271. That it handles much better while only being two feet longer. Have any of you guys driven both for comparison?
Thanks for the reply Bikini. That is a good idea on ordering it wired and ready.

NICKM,
Got you message. I'll see the boat and or the owner this weekend. I'll find out the info you asked for and get back to you.
You wanted to know about the props, tabs and elivation. Any other questions? anyone?

I made the same request to the factory, and the response from my dealer was 'their engineering dept said they wont fit!" WTF??? should have deleted them and had them ship them in the boat and e-bayed them I ordered the Victorys 3 days ago, hope there not just a bandaid

If I order the boat less tabs I will need to know the best location to mount the K-planes. Don't think Formula will offer much help there, so do any of you have any recommendations as to exactly the distance they should be mounted from the running surface of the hull and side-to-side location?
What props and pitch come standard from the factory with the 6.2's and Bravo One? The Bravo One is offered with three different gear ratios (1.65, 1.5, and 1.36 to 1). I assume 1.5 would be ideal. Most of my running will be at 700 foot elevation.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Who's tweaked a 292?
I ordered my boat with 1.50 gears anticipating Whipples, big mistake, the boat came with 28 lab bravos,= 4600 rpm,66mph, decided againsnt Whipples and tried 24s and 26s, you timed getting on plane with a calender!! spent $ 1800 on a gear ratio change [1.65] and much better overall performance, back to 28 labs 5000 rpm 69mph .silent thunder is off and Ill see this weekend if it makes a difference
