Question Another what's it worth 99 271

I finally will have some pics of my 1999 Formula 271 today. What are these boats selling for? It has a 502, 220 hrs., Captains Call exhaust, drive shower, K&N filter, VHF radio, transom shower, 2 Bravo 1 props ( one labbed by Houston Prop ), cockpit cover, full mooring cover, Vanguard trailer with 4 brand tires. I'm going to list it in the classifieds but wanted to ask a fair price. I know what the NADA says but that's just a guide. I want to move up but need to sell this one first. Thanks for any advice.

I have found NADA to be high...real high. Priced to sell would be near the low book value of NADA or I would say a loaded boat at the price of base model boats. You can get more if you are willing to wait for the right person, but sometimes that takes awhile. A low price makes alot of people "the right person"

I have to disagree. Try to find a nice boat at NADA prices,,,, ain't gonna happen. In the case of the 311s we've been discussing in related threads, NADA will come in at like 25k for an '88 or '89. Nobody with a nice 311 is going to sell theirs for that price.

NADA might be close for basic bow riders and such, but not for desirable offshores.

There not to far off. His boat should sell for 35k easy. More if he sits on it for the " right " buyer.

This boat has always been in fresh water in Lake Ontario. NADA low book with all the options I have is around 45k and high book is around 53k. Both these prices do not include the trailer. What is this trailer worth?

obnoxus,
I see you must have a Baja. Formula boats hold their value much better than alot of other brands. 35k is way too low for this boat.
