I think you hit the nail on the head with the second statement. Im just glad I got the boat back before the whole National fallout came to a head.
I guess the best i'll be able to get out of the boxes is 2 3/4"s. Anything should be better than it is right now. I am amazed I can even run 70 with the props that deep.

I'm going to take it in in the next week or so and have them raised so keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks
Corey

Corey,

Just wondering if you will need to change the engine height, too. The shafts on the Stellings have universals at each end to allow a little angle and a slip collar to allow for length, but if you raise the box that much, will you need to raise the engines also?

I would call Darryl Johnson at Formula TAG and find out if there is any difference in engine mounting for boxed/non-boxed 382's.

Let me know if you need other measurements, but remember I have Merc mounts but not Merc motors in mine.

I hope not, but I guess since the engines have to come out anyway it wouldn't be a catastrophic event to do. I'll call Darryl and get some insight. I know that on a new boat equipped with boxes, I think the engines are installed 1 inch taller than a non-box equipped boat

Oh Well its only money......right???
