Formulas are such sweet, classy boats. . . . looks like they are really getting the graphics together.
Congratulations. I hope you can find some rougher water, so you can REALLY appreciate your beautiful new boat. . . . you've done well, and it seems like Nelems Marine really steps up.

This coming from a Fountain driver. . . .

Congrats!
She will run sticks to the stops all day without issue,I know mine did. And you will love the fuel consumption not that we even care but she is easy on the pocket.

4mula,

Congrats on the new package. Robert contacted me and asked that I send you the formula for your trailers' paint. Email will go out shortly.

We appreciate your support in purchasing our trailer. Following your posts, I would guess you to be one of those owners we appreciate, because you will review the material in your owners' packet. If you have any questions concerning that material or your BTV, please feel free to contact me at 1-618-542-8313.

Page 1, posts 2 & 19... what does Formula use to reinforce the hull?... certainly doesn't look like wood encapsulated in FG or CF.

Thanks everyone for your comments!

Jigsaw89, Formula calls this a "continuous molded fiberglass structural grid". I added a couple pictures that we took on the factory tour. One is of the mold, and the other is the actual grid. It is all fiberglass and then foam filled after installation. It was designed using CAD and finite element analysis to figure out how best to support the high stress areas in the hull. Looks good to me! and no wood to rot out.....

How long did it take Formula to build that boat?

Thanks for the pics and info, 4mulafastech! An insider's point of view is exactly what I'm looking for.

What does formula do with regard to bulkheads and 'coring' the sides of the hull? I've never seen anything like the continuous molded fiberglass structural grid, but it sure does look impressive.

Correct me if I'm wrong with regard to the build process - first they start with the bare fiberglass hull... then they insert the continuous molded fiberglass structural grid and fill it with foam... then they insert the fiberglass cockpit liner... and lastly they fasten down the fiberglass deck to the hull. Does Formula glass the deck to the hull and thru-bolt it? I'm really interested in the build process b/c they're great looking performance boats and I'd really consider buying one in the future.

BTW, great looking 292! Now if only winter would pass so we can get back to what we enjoy most... BOATING!

NICKM, it only took about 5 weeks. It is a very organized "assembly line" type construction. Not a day is wasted as something is being worked on at all times.
