So why does the mercury engine that requires 0 emissions only put out 320hp???? Any one have an answer for that?-Nick

The working load on a vehicle engine is very low compared to a boat engine. If this same engine were put in a boat it would not last very long. Much like the difference between the working relationship of a car and a truck. If you slapped a 400hp small block from a car into a truck and tried to pull a large boat down the road, the engine would detinate itself apart.

Looks like they got the SC5000 monitor in there with the Monster tachs
Does the SC5000 track and record way-points and destinations?
What are the benefits of having both the Garmin 172C chart plotter and SC5000? If only one could be chosen which would be the better pick?

By the way, just received the picture below from Formula. She just got out of the test tank and it ready to be masked and taped for paint. Should be done on Wednesday.

In the paint booth... so much for being all white! Actually, most of that color will come off with the tape. That's why I like the #3 design...

That's awesome to have all the build photo's of YOUR boat.
I've been shopping for a while now, I'm stuck on an older Cigarette, but the wife is really interested in the Formula's.
This thread is making look a little harder at Formula's.
I've known since I was a kid that they are a great boat.
If I pulled the trigger on a Formula, it would likely be the 292.
But, I think I'd leave it all white for the first season, then consider some subtle custom paint work.
All these new graphic scheme's (from almost all boat builders) are bit too much for me.
I loved the old "hockey stick" paint, maybe just some updated color combinations - the orange and brown of the early to mid 80's just doesn't cut it. The old Cigarette red/black/silver is still a classic look though.
I saw a thread on here somewhere of a Formula that was painted all Silver on the hullsides, with black accents, looked great.
Good luck with the new toy.
